Since its first issue in 1986, Rekishi to Minzoku has been published in book form by Heibonsha. In this publication, the research activities of the Institute are introduced through articles and research notes by members and related researchers of the Institute. Published annually; as of 2024, the total number of issues is 41. This journal will be substantially renewed starting with the 42nd issue in FY2025, and an electronic version will be launched at the same time.
