This bulletin was first published in March 2023 as part of the 100th anniversary celebration of the establishment of the Institute. Until that time, Rekishi to Minzoku served as the Institute’s bulletin, but Jomin Bunka Kenkyu took over this role and has been published annually. Contributions are solicited from the staff, visiting researchers, and special researchers of the Institute, and each issue provides a forum for the publication of research findings, including peerreviewed papers, reports on research activities, and short communications on newly found historical materials.
